As a professionally certified coach, Carli Tingstad brings passion and expertise to the game. Carli holds her UEFA B License through the Scottish FA and her CSA National B License. Carli serves as the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus as Assistant Coach for the Women’s Heat Soccer Team. For the last 4 years, Carli has worked to develop the team while serving as head coach for multiple youth teams including leading provincial youth programming over the last several years. Driven by her desire to strengthen the soccer community throughout the region, Carli has supported the development of annual spring programming with UBCO Heat and is personally dedicated to not only strengthening ties between the university pitch and the community, but raising the level of women’s game in the region, and beyond. Carli was recruited to the Yukon to coach the women’s Canada games team, and recognizes how important it is to be continually challenging players and coaches to be their best. Part of this work is personally developing as a coach, and for this reason Carli is currently completing the Masters of Sport Performance at the University of Stirling.
“For me, connecting players and organizations throughout the region to grow the women’s game in Okanagan is a priority,” says Carli. “ The opportunity for players to continue to play at an elite level outside of the university season and after graduation is something I have wanted to be a part of since I began coaching.
