Paul Ruether

Paul currently coaches the OFC 2013 and the 2014 Boys teams. He holds his BC Soccer C license and plans on pursuing his CSA Youth soccer license next.
Paul joins the Okanagan FC team bringing over a decade of coaching experience – directly supporting youth development in soccer. From coaching youth soccer camps and rec soccer, to now being part of the Okanagan FC team, soccer has always been Paul’s passion. After coaching his first team as a 19-year-old, Paul knew a big part of his future was in sharing his love for the game with the next generation.
Paul played competitive youth soccer growing up in Red Deer, helping his team secure provincial championships and representing Central Alberta at the Alberta Summer Games. After living overseas in England for a short time and being exposed to a more intensive football culture, Paul got more involved on the coaching side while continuing to play.

Paul and his wife moved to Kelowna in 2016 with their son Ben. Since then, the family has grown, welcoming another son, Owen, in 2018. Ben currently plays with the 2013 Okanagan FC team and has been very involved at the academy level as well.
