Its tryout season here in Kelowna and people are making important decisions on what teams and programs they want to try to be part of for next season.
At Soccaskool, we have our own Development Team evaluations next week and we are hoping that there are a growing number of people recognizing that we are providing an excellent option for player development and team formation at the ages of U9, U10, U11 and U12.
We have also been very consistent with our message to all players who come through our academy, that when they are finished with us after U12 they should go and try out for TOFC, which is the Okanagan Regional Program and is part of the BC Soccer Premier League Which is the high performance pathway in BC.
TOFC have produced a full information package which, along with all of the evaluation dates and times, is available on their website. Everybody with ambitious youth soccer players, whatever their age, should take ten minutes to familiarize themselves with this information.
Here at Soccaskool, we use the number of players who come through our academy and end up playing for TOFC as a measure of our success. We keep track of their progress, and we wish them well as they head into their very exciting U13 to U18 youth soccer period. We are proud of the fact that there are currently 7 Soccaskool graduates playing for TOFC in the BCSPL, there is also one currently playing for Coquitlam Metro Ford. This year it is the turn of the 2004s, and we are hoping that all of our 2004s attend tryouts. Our hope is that we will add at least a couple of 2004s to the TOFC squads, these will be the first players to come through our full time Development Team Program.
Good luck to everybody !
