PK

PK began coaching children in 2010 after earning his Community Coach certification through Canada Soccer. He currently holds a UEFA C Licence, U.S. Soccer 7v7 and 9v9 Licences, and several certifications through the CSA and The FA. He plans on pursuing his B Diploma next.
Growing up in Vancouver and Burnaby, PK played for several clubs during his school years, where he was fortunate to be guided by a handful of exceptional coaches who helped shape some of his most lasting soccer memories. It was clear early on that PK was interested in coaching: he often had to be reminded to sit down and refrain from asking too many questions as he paced the sidelines at his coaches’ side. At 17, he transitioned into senior men’s soccer, competing in both the VMSL and FVSL. During and after university, he continued to be involved as a player and player-coach for various competitive/provincial teams.
Since moving to Kelowna with his wife and two soccer-loving kids in 2020, PK has focused on working with children and has coached at KYSA, COYSA, and now OFC, where he’s currently coach of the 2017/18 boys and 2014 girls teams.
PK loves experiencing that moment when a player “gets it” and applies something they’ve learned in practice to a match situation. He hopes to be a positive influence and help ignite his players’ passion for this beautiful game!
